Last time I introduced some of the Jyväskylä area vantage points.
Now I'm shortly going through some other places that are introduced on official Jyväskylä tourism web site.
I'm running around central Jyväskylä daily and of course most of these places are very familiar - usually you just look at them through with very mundane eyes.

I'm running around central Jyväskylä daily and of course most of these places are very familiar - usually you just look at them through with very mundane eyes.
So, this local tourist visited the City Church (Kaupunginkirkko), murals, Ridge stairs (Harjun portaat), Vesilinna, Kuokkala bridge (Kuokkalan silta), Kuokkala manor and the old Water Tower. Additionally I also visited the Old Church of Petäjävesi.

Vesilinna
One of the trademarks of Jyväskylä Ridge is Vesilinna that is combined water and observation tower.
Vesilinna was designed by Olavi Kivimaa and it was completed in 1953.
Harjun portaat
So called Nero stairs (build 1925) are also iconic features of the Ridge.
Stairs were named after city engineer Oskar Nero.

Kuokkalan silta
Kuokkala bridge is at its best when it is lit during the dark months of the fall. The bridge was finished in 1989 and it is 480 m long.

Kuokkalan kartano
Kuokkala manor is owned by Kauko Sorjonen foundation and it has plenty of art inside. That is also why there is practically no photos policy inside. Manor is designed by Wiwi Lönn and it was finished in 1904 as home of Julius Johnson and his family.

Kuokkalan vesitorni
Water tower itself is not a special treat but from certain angles and lit up during the fall it offers some interesting possibilities for photography.

Matti Nykänen ski jumping hill
Matti Nykänen ski jumping hill was open during the summer in 2018. View is, of course, a lot like adjacent Laajavuori. Hill was introduced in 1965 and it was renamed after Calgary olympics in 1988 when legendary Matti Nykänen brought home triple gold.
